Job summary

Saint Alphonsus Health System in Ontario, Oregon is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Wound Treatment Clinic. You will provide skilled nursing care for patients with chronic wounds and related conditions, administer medications, and educate patients and families.

You will mentor staff, ensure accurate documentation, and protect patient confidentiality in a team-focused, high-quality care environment. The role requires an OR RN license, an ACEN/CCNE-accredited nursing degree, and BLS

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in nursing (ACEN/CCNE accredited).
• Current OR RN license at time of hire; proof of application if in process within 90 days.
• Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers required at hire.

What You Will Do

In this role, you will provide skilled nursing care to patients suffering with chronic wounds, including those with poor blood circulation, severe burns, and peripheral vascular disease. You will administer medications, maintain a safe nursing area, and provide education and resources to patients and families based on their needs. RN's are also expected to serve as a mentor to clinical staff, maintain accurate documentation, and preserve confidential information. Our ideal candidate has the ability to make decisions and take action in stressful situations, while providing outstanding customer service. He or she needs to have excellent communication skills and must be a team player.

Schedule

M-F, 8-hour shifts

General Requirements

• Education: An associate or bachelor's degree from a nursing program accredited by ACEN or CCNE
• License/Certification: A current OR RN license is required at time of hire. All colleagues must provide licensure or proof of application in process for the state of Idaho within 90 days of hire.
• Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers certification from either AHA, ARC or the Military Training Network is required at hire in all units, unless currently certified in ACLS and/or PALS.
