Job summary

AdventHealth is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse with wound, ostomy, and continence care expertise to join our team. The role focuses on comprehensive patient assessments, individualized care planning, and safe administration of treatments, with collaboration across physicians and nurses to ensure optimal outcomes.

• Current knowledge in wounds, ostomies, and continence.
• Strong communication with patients and staff.
• Ability to work with people of various backgrounds.
• Excellent organization and time management to manage a full patient caseload on a daily basis.
• Ability to work under stress and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Assess physical, mental, social, and spiritual needs for wound, ostomy, and continence care.
• Develop and document individualized care plans based on patient assessments.
• Administer treatments and medications safely; monitor responses.
• Provide direct patient care including wound, ostomy management, and continence care.
• Educate patients and families on care strategies and self-care techniques.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care.
• Monitor and document patient progress and adjust care plans as necessary.
• Provide emergent and on-call care for urgent issues, including weekends and holidays.
