Job Summary

Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, the Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) provides nursing care within the scope of licensure for assigned patients according to established standards and hospital policies.

Essential Functions

1. Administers medication, performs treatments, and patient care responsibilities as prescribed.
2. Consults with and informs the Registered Nurse of patient activities, symptoms, reactions, and condition changes.
3. Provides pain management and educates patients and families about pain management techniques.
4. Administers medication following the five rights within scope of practice.
5. Assists with rehabilitation and treatment plans, updating and revising under RN supervision.
6. Assists physicians with examinations, treatments, and procedures, performing technical and manual skills as directed.
7. Treats patients and families with respect and dignity, addressing psychosocial, cultural, ethnic, and spiritual needs.
8. Interacts professionally with patients and families, involving them in care planning.
9. Assists with admitting, discharging, and transferring patients.
10. Addresses psychosocial needs and communicates with Social Services/Discharge Planner regarding patient needs.

Compensation and Benefits: $8,000 Sign-on Bonus. Salary Range: $21 - $26 / Hour. Benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), FSA / HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness.
