Job Description

The Wound Ostomy Care Nurse will provide specialized care and management for patients with wound vacs and ostomies. The nurse will work as part of the WOC team, seeing patients across various units within the hospital. This role requires a strong background in wound care and ostomy management.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments and provide care for patients with wounds and ostomies.
• Utilize wound vacs and other treatment modalities effectively.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create and implement care plans.
• Educate patients and families about wound and ostomy care practices.
• Participate in departmental meetings and quality improvement initiatives.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current BLS certification (AHA).
• Wound Care certification (CWCN) via WOCNCB.
• Must have experience working as a WOC nurse.
