Job summary

Clinch Valley Health in Richlands, VA is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for Women's Services. This full-time night shift role involves 7p-7a with rotating weekends, delivering compassionate care in antepartum, labor, delivery, recovery, postpartum, and nursery settings.

Applicants must hold a Virginia RN license, BLS, NRP, and AWHONN Fetal Monitoring certification (or within required windows). Prior Labor and Delivery experience is preferred; strong teamwork and patient advocacy are essential.

Qualifications

• Virginia state or compact RN license required.
• BLS certification required within 30 days.
• NRP certification required within 30 days.
• AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring required within two years and within one year of hire.
• 6 months Labor and Delivery experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate patient assessments and identify needs.
• Initiate appropriate nursing interventions promptly.
• Provide age-appropriate care and document medical necessity.
• Maintain and revise the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient.
• Ensure accurate charting and care coordination.

Clinch Valley Medical Center offers modern antepartum, labor, delivery, recovery, postpartum, and nursery care surrounded in a close to home community. In this position, the Registered Nurse will help guide families through one of life's biggest moments, building real connections in a warm, close-knit team.

How you'll contribute

A Registered Nurse who excels in this role:

• Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs
• Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions
• Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient
• Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record
• Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient

What we're looking for

Applicants must have a current Virginia state or compact state RN license.

• Basic Life Support (BLS) is required within 30 days
• NRP is required within 30 days
• AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring is required every two years and within one year of hire
• 6 months of previous Labor and Delivery experience preferred

Hourly Range

$33.64 to $44.81
