Henry Ford Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Women & Children’s Unit in Detroit. This full-time role offers day shifts (7:00 am–7:30 pm) with alternating weekends.

The unit features a 25-bed women’s-focused team serving adult and pediatric patients with diverse needs. Responsibilities include coordinating and delivering high-quality patient care using the nursing process, mentoring staff, and communicating key patient information to the care team.

Qualifications

• RN licensure required or preferred as indicated by Michigan Board licensure.
• BSN preferred per posting.
• Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities to formulate effective nursing care plans.
• Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and hospital personnel.

Responsibilities

• Lead coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care.
• Utilize the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching.
• Communicate pertinent patient/family information to the health care team.
• Participate in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensure implementation of solutions.
• Assist in teaching patients and families about care plans.
