Job summary

PAM Health Specialty and Rehabilitation Hospital of Covington is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver and supervise patient care on the medical-surgical unit under nursing leadership. You will plan, coordinate, and provide comprehensive care, including discharge planning and patient/family teaching, while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Required qualifications include active RN licensure in the state (or compact), BLS, and ACLS within 90 days (ACLS for Charge Nurses).

Qualifications

• Current licensure as a registered nurse (RN) in the state where the hospital resides, or compact licensure if state participates.
• BLS certification is required.
• ACLS certification is required within 90 days of employment (ACLS required for Charge Nurses).

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to deliver, direct and supervise patient care on the unit.
• Plan, coordinate, and provide patient care including discharge planning and patient/family teaching.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and access community resources as needed.

Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer/Director of Nursing, Nurse Manager or Charge Nurse, the Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for utilizing the nursing process while delivering, directing and supervising care to patients admitted to the nursing unit. The Registered Nurse plans, coordinates, and provides patient care to include interdisciplinary planning, discharge planning, patient and family teaching for post-hospitalization, and accessing community resources. May perform other related duties as assigned or requested, including Charge Nurse (ACLS certification required).

Qualifications

Education and Training: Holds a current licensure as a registered nurse (RN) in the state where the hospital resides, or compact licensure if state participates. Current BLS certification is required. Evidence of ACLS certification is required within 90 days of employment. BLS and ACLS certifications must be AHA approved within 90 days of employment. Current ACLS certification is required for Charge Nurses.

Experience: One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience preferred but not required.
