Starkville Manor Health Care and Rehabilitation is seeking a Weekend Nursing Supervisor (RN) to lead our nursing team in Starkville, MS. This role focuses on staffing, mentorship, compliance, and delivering high-quality resident care.

Qualified candidates hold an active RN license, 3+ years of nursing experience (preferably in long-term care), and 1+ year in nursing administration. Weekend availability is required, with Preceptor Training offered upon hire.

Qualifications

• Current, unencumbered RN license in the state of practice.
• Minimum 3 years of nursing experience, preferably in long-term care or skilled nursing.
• At least 1 year of nursing administration experience.
• Strong leadership, team-building, and decision-making skills.
• Willingness to work weekends and complete Preceptor Training upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise nursing staff to ensure adequate coverage and quality resident care.
• Support staff development, ongoing education, and training.
• Provide direct resident care in alignment with care plans.
• Conduct and document assessments upon admission and during stay.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans in compliance with policies.
• Recruit and retain skilled nursing professionals.
• Address resident/family concerns professionally and resolve conflicts.
• Drive continuous improvement within the management team.

Major Responsibilities

• Lead & Supervise Nursing Staff – Manage daily staffing needs, ensuring adequate coverage and quality resident care.
• Staff Development & Training – Assist in ongoing education, ensuring all staff are equipped to provide exceptional care.
• Direct Resident Care – Provide hands-on nursing care, ensuring residents' medical needs are met in accordance with individualized care plans.
• Resident Assessments – Conduct and document comprehensive evaluations upon admission and throughout their stay.
• Treatment Planning & Compliance – Assist in developing and implementing personalized treatment plans while ensuring adherence to resident rights and facility policies.
• Recruit & Retain Nursing Talent – Play a key role in the hiring and retention of skilled nursing professionals.
• Conflict Resolution & Advocacy – Address concerns from residents and families, ensuring grievances are handled professionally and effectively.
• Drive Continuous Improvement – Implement new ideas, enhance processes, and support a positive, results-driven management team.

Minimum Qualifications

• Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
• Minimum 3 years of nursing experience (preferred in long-term care, skilled nursing, or a similar setting).
• At least 1 year of experience in nursing administration.
• Strong leadership, team-building, and decision-making skills.
• Compassionate and dedicated to providing superior resident care.
• Ability to work weekends with flexibility and adaptability.
• Completion of Preceptor Training (or willingness to complete upon hire).
