Job summary

Optima Care Fountains is seeking a Weekend RN Supervisor to oversee clinical care planning and delivery, ensuring high-quality patient care in a NJ facility.

The role requires an active NJ RN license, at least 5 years of nursing experience with 1 year in a nurse supervisor role, and strong knowledge of nursing regulations and practices. You will perform rounds, coordinate physician orders, and report to the Director of Nursing Services, supporting patient outcomes during weekend shifts.

Responsibilities

• Supervises clinical care planning and delivery to ensure quality patient care
• Assesses residents on admission and as conditions change
• Performs rounds to evaluate patient condition
• Provides or assists with direct patient care including ADLs, meals, medications, treatments, and leisure activities
• Obtains and implements physician orders, ensuring accuracy
• Communicates changes in patient condition between shifts
• Provides clinical assessment to physicians/NPs on call for quality outcomes
• Conducts daily rounds to ensure nursing staff meet standards
• Reports findings to the Director of Nursing Services
• Generates required reports to the Director of Nursing Services

Optima Care Fountains is in search of a weekend RN Supervisor

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Supervises the clinical care planning and delivery processes to ensure the coordination of quality patient care.

• Assesses residents/clients upon admission and periodically as conditions change

• Performs rounds to evaluate patient condition

• Provides or assists with the delivery of direct patient care when indicated, including activities of daily living, meal assistance, medication and treatment administration, and leisure activities when indicated

• Obtains and implements Physician Orders, checking for accuracy and completeness

• Communicates between shifts regarding changes in resident/patient condition

• Provides clinical assessment to MD/NPs on call for quality outcomes delivered to patients

• Make daily rounds of the Nursing Services Department to ensure that all nursing service personnel are performing their work assignments in accordance with acceptable nursing standards.

• Report findings to the Director of Nursing Services

• Make appropriate reports to the Director of Nursing Services, as required or as may be necessary

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Active NJ RN license in good standing required

• Minimum 5+ years nursing experience in a hospital, nursing home or other healthcare setting and a minimum 1-year experience as a nurse supervisor

• Strong knowledge of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to nursing care centers.
