Job summary

Wellington Rehabilitation & Healthcare is seeking a Weekend Nursing Supervisor (RN) to lead nursing staff, oversee resident care, and ensure high-quality outcomes. This part-time role requires weekend availability and strong leadership to mentor staff and maintain compliance with care plans.

You will conduct assessments, support treatment planning, and foster a collaborative environment. The position offers opportunities for professional growth and a commitment to resident well-being.

Qualifications

  • Current, unencumbered RN license in the state of practice.
  • Minimum 3 years of nursing experience; ideally in long-term care or skilled nursing.
  • At least 1 year of nursing administration experience.
  • Strong leadership, team-building and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work weekends with flexibility and adaptability.
  • Completion of Preceptor Training (or willingness to complete upon hire).

Major Responsibilities
  • Lead & Supervise Nursing Staff – Manage daily staffing needs, ensuring adequate coverage and quality resident care.
  • Staff Development & Training – Assist in ongoing education, ensuring all staff are equipped to provide exceptional care.
  • Direct Resident Care – Provide hands‑on nursing care, ensuring residents' medical needs are met in accordance with individualized care plans.
  • Resident Assessments – Conduct and document comprehensive evaluations upon admission and throughout their stay.
  • Treatment Planning & Compliance – Assist in developing and implementing personalized treatment plans while ensuring adherence to resident rights and facility policies.
  • Recruit & Retain Nursing Talent – Play a key role in the hiring and retention of skilled nursing professionals.
  • Conflict Resolution & Advocacy – Address concerns from residents and families, ensuring grievances are handled professionally and effectively.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement – Implement new ideas, enhance processes, and support a positive, results‑driven management team.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
  • Minimum 3 years of nursing experience (preferred in long‑term care, skilled nursing, or a similar setting).
  • At least 1 year of experience in nursing administration.
  • Strong leadership, team‑building, and decision‑making skills.
