Conway Regional Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Critical Care Unit. The CCU RN cares for adult and geriatric patients on continuous monitoring, participates in bedside procedures, and manages arterial lines and ventilators.

The role includes rapid response participation and patient/family education about treatment plans. The position emphasizes teamwork, adherence to the Nurse Practice Act, and hospital policies.

Formación

• Active RN license in Arkansas.
• BSN preferred.
• If <1 year experience as an RN, must obtain a BSN within 4 years of hire.
• Certification preferred.
• Proof of high school or equivalent or higher education.
• Basic keyboarding skills preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Provide care for adult and geriatric patients in CCU with continuous monitoring.
• Perform bedside procedures with physicians and manage specialty equipment (arterial lines, ventilators, hypothermia protocol).
• Participate in Rapid Response Team and assist in transfer decisions for deteriorating patients.
• Assess, administer medications as ordered, and educate patients and families about treatment plans and goals.
• Practice within the Arkansas Nurse Practice Act and Health System policies.

Overview

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Critical Care Unit (CCU) will assume responsibility and accountability for the adult and geriatric patients undergoing continuous monitoring for cardiac, post-surgical, respiratory, and/or psychiatric diagnoses. The CCU RN will often be active participants in bedside procedures with physicians. He/She will be responsible for certain specialty equipment and procedures such as managing arterial lines, ventilators, hypothermia protocol, and performing peritoneal dialysis. As a CCU RN, he/she will be part of the Rapid Response Team and will assist hospital staff in assessing, treating and transferring (if needed) deteriorating patients to the appropriate unit. He/She will provide appropriate care and comfort needs for the well-being of the patients by assessing, administering medications as ordered and educating patients and family members about active treatment plans and goals. The CCU RN will utilize the nursing process in the provision of care and will practice within the scope of the Nurse Practice Act of the State of Arkansas and the policies, procedures, and standards of the Health System. The CCU RN will demonstrate a commitment to teamwork through effective collaboration efforts

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with current, active license to practice in Arkansas
• BSN preferred
• If less than one year experience as a Registered Nurse, must obtain a BSN degree within 4 years of hire.
