Job summary

Gibson Area Hospital & Health Services is seeking a Registered Nurse for our Long Term Care unit. This full-time role covers weekend day shifts (6a-6p) with a wrap of 24 hours paid as 36.

The RN provides direct patient care, coordinates with the care team, and ensures safety and compliance with Illinois nursing standards. Required is an NLN-accredited nursing program graduate and an active Illinois license; geriatric experience is preferred to support our residents’ needs.

Qualifications

• Graduated from an NLN accredited school of nursing.
• Current Illinois nursing license is required.
• Previous geriatric experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform ongoing patient assessments and data collection.
• Apply nursing process and therapeutic interventions as directed by physician and team.
• Coordinate care with other nurses and healthcare staff.
• Maintain accurate documentation following hospital standards.
• Ensure patient rights and safety are observed at all times.
• Contribute to staff development and peer learning.
