Mercy in Missouri is seeking experienced registered nurses to join a hematology/oncology care team. The unit offers remote telemetry, chemotherapy administration, radiation, and supportive care across the patient journey.

We provide day-one medical, dental and vision coverage, tuition assistance, and a strong retirement program, with sign-on bonuses and shift differentials to reward weekend and off-hours work.

Competenze

• Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program.
• Current RN license in hiring state or compact licensure.
• Basic Life Support certification (BLS) obtained or within 30 days of hire.

Mansioni

• Provide patient care using the nursing process with accountability.
• Coordinate patient care with other departments while maintaining patient rights and confidentiality.
• Assist with hematology/oncology patient care and end-of-life needs as part of the unit team.

Position Details:

Incentives:

• undefinedQualifications:Education: Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program. Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements. Certifications: Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire. Physical requirements/demands: Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties

7A We offer a vast array of experiences and opportunities surrounding the care of hematology and oncology patients. We treat patients in all steps of their journey. This includes workup and initial diagnosis, middle of their treatment process, and end of life care as well. We administer chemotherapy almost daily and becoming certified is a requirement. Our patients also receive radiation, surgical interventions, and transfusions. They require med-surg skills such as wound care, drain care, tube feeding, and pain management. Our unit includes remote telemetry monitoring for up to 13 rooms. We provide end of life care including pain and secretion management. We work closely with the Hospice team to meet the needs of our patients as well as their loved ones.
