John Muir Health is seeking a staff Registered Nurse (RN) to provide care in Medical Acute Care. The RN will plan, delegate, and coordinate nursing care for a group of patients during a designated time frame, adhering to California Nurse Practice Act and John Muir Medical Center Standards of Care.

Collaboration with interdisciplinary team is essential. Required qualifications include a California RN license, BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certification, and ongoing trauma and stroke education.

Qualifikationen

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school is required.
• At least 6 months of Medical Acute Care nursing experience is required.
• RN license in California is required; BLS is required.
• ACLS is required or must be completed within 6 months if an internal training program applies.
• NIHSS certification required by orientation and annually.
• Trauma CEUs required (6 per year).
• Stroke education annually as per department or Stroke Program.

The staff registered nurse (RN) is a licensed professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for planning, delegating, and coordinating the nursing care of a group of patients during a designated time frame utilizing the John Muir Medical Center Standards of Care, American Nurses Association's (ANA) Standards of Practice and Professional Performance, and the California Nurse Practice Act, Title 22, and Title 16. The RN coordinates and provides care through the therapeutic use of self, nursing process, and the environment and technology, in partnership and collaboration with interdisciplinary team members.

Education:

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing - Required

Experience:

• 6 Months Nursing - Medical Acute Care - Required

Certifications/Licensures :

• RN Registered Nursing - California Board of Nursing - Required
• BLS Basic Life Support - American Heart Association - Required
• ACLS Advanced Cardiac Life Support - American Heart Association - Required or If position is identified as an internal training program, Required within 6 months of assuming position
• Approved Cardiac Rhythm Test - Must Pass at time of hire (Required if hired after 11/15/2018) Required - If position is identified as an internal training program, must complete the Apex Cardiac Rhythm test within 6 months of transfer.
• NIHSS National Institute of Health Stroke Scale - No Issuing Agency Certification - Achieved by the end of orientation to the assigned area - Required
• NIHSS National Institute of Health Stroke Scale - No Issuing Agency Competency - Successful completion on an annual basis - Required
• Attains 6 Trauma CEUs annually - Required
• Trauma Care After Resuscitation (TCAR) - Required within 2 years of hire
• Annual stroke care education as determined by department or Stroke Program - Required

Pay Range:

$87.06 - $118.62

Hourly

Offer amounts are based on demonstrated/relevant experience and/or licensure.

Pay will be adjusted to the local market if hired outside of the Bay Area .

Note: Positions at JMH which are exempt (not eligible for overtime) under the level of Manager are listed as hourly for compensation purposes on this posting. The work shift will contain the word 'exempt' on it.
