Job summary

John Muir Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to provide patient care by planning, delegating, and coordinating nursing services for a defined group of patients. The RN will operate within the California Nurse Practice Act and hospital standards, collaborating closely with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality care.

Required are a California RN license and BLS; ACLS is required before orientation in the assigned area, with PALS preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Accredited School of Nursing.
• RN - Registered Nurse - Current California License Required
• BLS Basic Life Support - American Heart Association Required
• ACLS Advanced Cardiac Life Support - Required prior to completion of orientation
• PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support - Preferred

The staff registered nurse (RN) is a licensed professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for planning, delegating, and coordinating the nursing care of a group of patients during a designated time frame utilizing the John Muir Medical Center Standards of Care, American Nurses Association's (ANA) Standards of Practice and Professional Performance, and the California Nurse Practice Act, Title 22, and Title 16. The RN coordinates and provides care through the therapeutic use of self, nursing process, and the environment and technology, in partnership and collaboration with interdisciplinary team members.

Education

• Graduate of Accredited School of Nursing - Required

Experience

• 6 Months Nursing - Medical Acute Care Required
• 5 years Nursing - Critical Care Preferred

Certifications/Licensures

• RN - Registered Nurse - Current California License Required
• BLS Basic Life Support - American Heart Association Required

Pay Range

• $87.06 - $118.62

Offer amounts are based on demonstrated/relevant experience and/or licensure.

Pay will be adjusted to the local market if hired outside of the Bay Area .

Note: Positions at JMH which are exempt (not eligible for overtime) under the level of Manager are listed as hourly for compensation purposes on this posting. The work shift will contain the word 'exempt' on it.
