Job summary

Carilion Clinic seeks a part‑time Registered Nurse for the Vascular Surgery unit in Roanoke, VA. The role requires clinical expertise across age groups, patient advocacy, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high‑quality nursing care. Shifts are day hours on Tue and Thu, with a focus on efficient care delivery and patient outcomes.

The RN must be VA licensed or eligible, hold BLS, and achieve ongoing competency in care coordination and documentation within EPIC.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of a professional nursing program and eligible for VA licensure.
• Current Virginia RN licensure or eligibility to obtain Virginia RN licensure.
• AHA BLS‑HCP required; ACLS/PALS/NRP may be required by unit.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and provide individualized care for patients of all ages.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Collaborate with health care team and family to develop age‑appropriate interdisciplinary care plans.
• Administer and document treatments and medications using electronic medical records.
