Job summary

Carilion Clinic in Roanoke, VA is seeking an RN I for the Vascular Access Team (VAT) to provide expert nursing care across ages in a fast-paced hospital setting. Day/Evening/Night shifts available; full-time employment with emphasis on coordination, patient advocacy and evidence-based practice.

The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care, document using EPIC, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to improve patient outcomes and ensure safety.

Qualifications

• Graduate of school of professional nursing of an accredited college or graduate of an approved program eligible to sit for the VA licensure exam.
• Currently licensed as Registered Nurse in Virginia or eligible to obtain Virginia RN licensure.
• Life Support: AHA BLS-HCP required. May be required to obtain/maintain BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP based on specific work unit.
• Other: Computer skills required for electronic medical record (EPIC).
• Compensation Range: $33.52 - $50.28

Responsibilities

• Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care in order to achieve optimum patient outcomes for patients of all ages as appropriate to service area.
• Age specific admission and ongoing assessments are completed, documented and used to develop a plan of care.
• Collaborates with members of the health care team/patient/family to develop, implement, and evaluate an age-specific interdisciplinary plan of care.
