Job summary

Mercy is seeking a highly qualified Registered Nurse for Vascular Access on FT Nights to provide skilled patient care using the nursing process and to coordinate care with other departments. You will uphold patient rights and ensure confidentiality while aligning with Mercy’s mission and service standards.

The role requires 1+ year nursing experience with IV ultrasound and current RN licensure in the hiring state or a compact state; education could be ADN, Diploma, or BSN.

Overview

Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Position Details

RN- Vascular Access- FT Nights 3 x12/hr shifts

Qualifications

• Education: Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
• Experience: 1+ year of nursing experience and have IV Ultrasound experience.
• Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
• Certifications: Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.

Physical Requirements

• Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis.
• Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
• Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
