Job summary

Mercy in Missouri is seeking an RN for Vascular Access on a full-time night schedule. You will utilize the nursing process to provide patient care, coordinate with departments, and maintain patient rights and confidentiality.

The role requires nursing education (ADN, Diploma, or BSN), 1+ year nursing experience with IV ultrasound, and an active RN license in the hiring state or a compact license; BLS is required or obtained within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
• 1+ year of nursing experience and IV Ultrasound experience.
• RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure; meet state board requirements.
• Basic Life Support certification (BLS) either currently or within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care using the nursing process and maintain accountability for care.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers.
• Coordinate patient care with other departments and protect patient rights and confidentiality.

3 x12/hr shifts

Qualifications:
Education: Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).

Experience: 1+ year of nursing experience and have IV Ultrasound experience.
Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
Certifications:

• Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.

Physical Requirements:

• Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis.
• Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
• Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
