Job summary

Penn State Health Milton Hershey Medical Center is seeking a Mechanical Circulatory Support Coordinator in the Heart and Vascular Institute. You will coordinate clinical care and education for patients requiring durable mechanical circulatory support or transplant, guiding them from evaluation to post‑op management.

The role requires RN licensure, 2+ years in cardiac or critical care, and certification or plan to obtain CCTC or VAD.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in nursing required.
• Minimum two years with cardiac patients and/or two years in critical care.
• RN license in state of employment or multi-state compact.
• CCTC or VAD certification, or plan to obtain within two years.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate clinical care and education for patients needing durable mechanical circulatory support or transplant.
• Oversee referral/evaluation through post‑op management for dMCS/ transplant patients.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure timely care delivery and patient education.
