Job summary

Astera is seeking two Registered Nurses for our Urology practice locations in Morristown, New Jersey. The role supports primary patient care with assessment, treatment planning and evidence-based interventions. Schedule is 35–40 hours per week, with competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits package.

Ideal candidates hold NJ RN licensure, current CPR, and BLS, and have a year of nursing experience. You will work within a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care and education.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of professional nursing experience.
• Current NJ RN license and CPR certification.
• Knowledge of nursing processes, healthcare systems, and community resources.
• Familiarity with nursing care laws, practice guidelines and clinical policies.
• Knowledge of wellness, development and psychosocial factors.
• Understanding of chart/medical record documentation requirements and related laws.
• Skill in patient triage in person and on the phone.
• Ability to engage clients and families in care planning.
• Ability to read and interpret physicians' orders and notes.
• Ability to calculate/administer drug dosages.

Responsibilities

• Obtains patient consent for care and maintains confidentiality.
• Docs health history, chief complaint, vitals, and risk factors.
• Delivers care per guidelines and regulations.
• Executes treatments, administers meds, and tracks progress.
• Refers to physicians and resources to resolve issues.
• Educates patients and families on health status and self-care.
• Documents assessments and interventions in medical records.
• Participates in multidisciplinary teams to improve care.
• Monitors quality assurance data and care management.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
