Job summary

THE FORUM is seeking an RN Unit Supervisor for a part-time role in California. The RN will oversee nursing care on their shift, administer medications, manage documentation, and respond to emergencies. Competitive compensation and full benefits accompany the position.

Responsibilities include supervising direct care, leading admissions and transfers, coordinating with staff, and ensuring regulatory readiness. Requires active CA RN license and BLS CPR; wound certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• Wound certification preferred.

THE FORUM is recruiting for a hospitality focused RN Unit Supervisor to join our team! The RN Unit Supervisor is an RN who is responsible for the overall nursing care and services on their shift, including the accurate and timely administration of medications, treatments, documentation and emergency calls, as indicated. This role offers competitive compensation and a full benefits package.

Wage Range: $45.00- $58.56

What You'll Do

• Supervises direct care of residents and nursing personnel on his/her shift.
• Administers direct care as necessary, including medication administration, treatments, ADL care.
• Leads admissions, discharges, and transfers to/from the facility.
• Leads daily clinical huddles with floor staff.
• Assigns CNA staff to shift assignments.
• Assists nursing personnel in clinical documentation as indicated.
• Assist with pharmacy recommendations.
• Ensure all staff take their breaks, covering as indicated.Assists Director of Nursing in delegated tasks as needed.
• Attend IDT meetings and care conferences as indicated.
• Maintain medication dispensing machine and medication room duties.
• Assumes floor nurse duties in case of nursing staff shortages, coverages, or other needs.
• Assists the nursing personnel with reducing overtime.Assists with state and federal regulatory survey preparedness.
• Gives and receives shift reports.
• Rounds throughout shift to ensure proper care is rendered in a safe and clean environment.
• Keeps physicians and families aware of changes in residents’ condition.
• Assists in developing comprehensive care plans.

Who You Are

• RN with an active and unobstructed California Registered Nurse license. At least 2 years of nursing experience in long-term care setting preferred.
• Charge nurse / supervisory experience preferred
• BLS CPR certification required
• Wound certified (or willingness to obtain wound certification) preferred
• Strong clinical, communication, and organizational skills
• Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
