Job summary

University Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is seeking an experienced RN Supervisor to oversee a unit within our long-term health care facility in Athens, Georgia. You will supervise nursing staff, monitor patient care, and ensure the highest quality care for residents.

Responsibilities include overseeing operations, managing admissions assessments, coordinating care with the healthcare team, and leading weekly meetings.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Georgia.
• Minimum 2 years in a long-term care or rehabilitation setting.
• Prior administrative experience in nursing and administration.
• Strong clinical knowledge in gerontology and rehabilitation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee unit operations, implementing policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective care.
• Assist with treatment and medication administration, ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Participate in admissions, conducting assessments and developing individualized care plans.
• Attend and participate in weekly meetings with the healthcare team.
• Conduct daily audits of new admission charts for accuracy and completeness.
• Serve as a liaison between family, patient, doctor, and other departments for communication and care coordination.
• Investigate incident reports and take necessary actions to prevent recurrence.
• Manage staff assignments and provide guidance and support.
• Participate in weekly risk meetings to report patient conditions and identify risks.
• Participate in annual staff evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
• Take on-call hours on weekends and holidays as assigned.
