Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing and 3 years professional nursing experience.
• RN licensure in Alabama or compact state licensure required upon hire.
• Comparable education/experience may substitute for the listed requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develops a staffing schedule based on skill mix/unit needs.
• Performs staffing assessments and makes adjustments as needed.
• Assists the Nurse Manager with annual performance evaluations.
• Evaluates departmental policies and ensures compliance with current regulations.
• Collaborates with the Nurse Manager and Unit Educator on educational programs and skills maintenance.
• Maintains records and assists with unit quality and performance initiatives.
• May function as bedside nurse when needed.
