Job summary

Elderwood Lancaster is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse Unit Manager to provide clinical and operational leadership for a nursing unit within a skilled nursing community. You will partner with DON, ADON, and other leaders to strengthen resident outcomes and nursing practice.

This role offers hands-on leadership, 24-hour oversight for the unit, and opportunities for professional development within a supportive environment backed by Elderwood Administrative Services.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in New York State.
• Minimum 2+ years of nursing experience in a SNF or Long-Term Care setting.
• Prior leadership experience (Charge Nurse, Unit Manager or Supervisor).
• Experience working with CNA teams and developing newer staff.
• Experience with dementia population strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24-hour oversight of the assigned nursing unit and lead the nursing team.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate resident care plans with clinical oversight.
• Serve as key liaison to families, physicians, and the interdisciplinary team.
• Manage daily staffing, scheduling, and participation in hiring and staff development.
