Job summary

Unity Health and Rehabilitation Center in Miami, Florida is seeking an experienced RN Unit Manager to oversee our skilled nursing unit and lead a dedicated team of nurses and aides. You will supervise daily operations, coordinate patient care, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive quality improvement initiatives in partnership with the Medical Director and hospital leadership.

Qualifications

Current Florida RN licensure is required.
2-3 years of experience in skilled nursing or rehabilitation settings.
Strong leadership and management capabilities with staff supervision experience.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with patients, families and providers.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

Oversee the daily operations of the skilled nursing unit, including staff supervision and patient care coordination.
Collaborate with Medical Director and department leaders to set unit goals and objectives.
Ensure regulatory compliance (HIPAA, Joint Commission) in daily practice.
Develop and maintain relationships with patients, families and healthcare providers for smooth transitions.
Participate in quality improvement projects to enhance patient satisfaction and outcomes.
Provide mentorship and orientation for nursing staff.
Foster a positive, collaborative work environment with open communication.
