Qualifications

• RN license is required in NYS.
• Annual CEU requirements must be met.
• Current CPR, Accu-Chek and IV Therapy certification.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates nursing department activities on a shift or unit.
• Serves as resource for staff in clinical and managerial decisions.
• Participates in assessment of residents and plan of care.
• Ensures rounds and that resident needs are met.
• Monitors documentation and reports to the Director of Nursing.
• Cooperates with other departments to meet resident needs.
• Meets staff regularly to identify and correct issues and improve services.
• Ensures fair disciplinary actions.
