Job summary

Bayview Healthcare in Melbourne, FL is seeking an RN Unit Manager to lead nursing care for residents in a sub-acute setting. The RN will supervise CNAs and staff, assess needs, develop care plans, and ensure delivery of quality nursing services.

This role offers collaboration, ongoing training, and opportunities for growth. Florida licensure, CPR, and strong communication are essential; supervisory experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with current Florida license.
• 1–3 years related experience; supervisory experience preferred.
• Current CPR certification.
• Excellent technical, assessment and documentation skills.
• Effective verbal and written English communication.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Complete assessments of residents at admission and discharge.
• Supervise nursing staff assigned.
• Document services rendered for billing purposes.
• Write admission notes and chart essential information.
• Identify and prioritize primary nursing problems.
• Develop care plans addressing immediate nursing problems.
• Make daily rounds to monitor resident care and status.
• Implement care plans per physician orders.
• Maintain infection control and safety standards.
• Respond to staffing shortages by arranging replacements.
• Review charting for accuracy and completeness.
• Report disciplinary actions when needed.
• Coordinate with Director of Nursing and other departments.
• Foster professional relationships with staff, residents and families.
