Job summary

Windsor Rehabilitation And Healthcare Center in Windsor, NC is seeking an RN Supervisor to lead nursing care on the shift, ensuring timely medication administration, treatments and documentation. The role includes supervising staff, safeguarding residents' health and following nursing policies and procedures.

Responsibilities include shift leadership, care planning, patient safety, and collaboration with physicians and families.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
• Current State License as a RN.
• C.P.R. Certified

Responsibilities

• Provides quality nursing care to Residents in an environment that promotes rights, dignity and choice.
• Provides supervision to C.N.A’s and subordinate staff ensuring assignments are completed.
• Supervises direct care of residents and nursing personnel on the shift.
• Gives and receives shift reports.
• Rounds the unit multiple times to assure proper care is rendered safely and cleanly.
• Keeps physicians and families aware of changes in resident’s condition.
• Assists in developing comprehensive care plans.
• Completes medical records documenting care and other information per policies.
• Maintains infection control and standard precautions while providing care.
• Maintains resident comfort, privacy and dignity with warmth and respect.
• Answers call lights promptly and courteously.
• Assists with admissions, readmissions and transfers within the facility.
• Communicates effectively with residents, visitors, families, peers and supervisors.
• Attends departmental meetings and in-services as directed.
