West Melbourne Health and Rehabilitation Center seeks an experienced RN Unit Manager to lead nursing staff, oversee daily resident care, and collaborate with the Director of Nursing to ensure excellent clinical outcomes in a long-term care setting.

The ideal candidate holds an active RN license in Florida, has at least two years of nursing experience with supervisory responsibilities, and demonstrates strong organization and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of practice (Florida).
• Minimum of two years of nursing experience required.
• At least one year of supervisory or leadership experience required.
• Long-term care, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or geriatric nursing experience preferred.
• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to coordinate nursing services with other departments.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, supervision, and support to nursing staff on assigned units.
• Assist in maintaining high standards of resident care through quality assurance, infection prevention, and utilization review activities.
• Receive and communicate physician orders, ensuring timely implementation and coordination across departments.
• Delegate nursing and therapeutic procedures appropriately to licensed and unlicensed staff.
• Conduct regular resident rounds to assess physical condition, monitor changes, and ensure quality care delivery.
• Review and maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation.
• Mentor, coach, and develop nursing team members to promote professional growth and exceptional resident outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with all company policies, state regulations, and federal guidelines.
