Job summary

Newport Meadows is seeking an experienced RN Unit Manager to join our care team. This role oversees a nursing unit, leads interdisciplinary staff, ensures high-quality resident care, and supports ongoing professional development.

The RN will plan and implement care plans, perform assessments, educate residents and families, participate in quality assurance, and maintain documentation in compliance with state and federal standards. Full-time, Monday–Friday with on-call responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Pennsylvania.
• 1 year minimum as Unit Manager or 2+ years in a supervisory role.
• Long-term care experience preferred.
• Strong leadership and patient-focused mindset.
• Ability to maintain compliance with standards.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and oversee clinical services for an assigned nursing unit.
• Lead interdisciplinary team to ensure resident care quality.
• Assess resident needs and evaluate systems for safe care delivery.
• Address and resolve patient and family concerns.
• Implement and evaluate nursing procedures and care programs.
• Perform nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Educate residents and families on health needs.
• Participate in quality assurance initiatives.
• Maintain documentation per standards.
• Provide general nursing care as needed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
