Job summary
Brush Hill Care Center is a family owned 160-bed Skilled Nursing Facility in Massachusetts seeking a Registered Nurse to be Unit Manager for our Long-Term Care and Short-Term Rehab units. The ideal candidate will provide high quality nursing care with limited supervision and collaborate with a dedicated team.
You will follow health and safety guidelines, supervise and train staff, manage medications, and coordinate with physicians to develop care plans.
Qualifications
- Active Massachusetts RN license (or eligibility)
- Experience supervising nursing staff
- Strong patient assessment and critical thinking skills
- Ability to coordinate care plans with physicians
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Commitment to compliance with health & safety guidelines
Responsibilities
- Monitor residents' condition and assess needs to provide high-quality care
- Observe and interpret symptoms; report to physicians
- Collaborate with physicians and nurses to create individualized care plans
- Perform routine procedures and document in residents' charts
- Administer medications and provide treatments per orders
- Maintain hygiene and safety in the facility
- Provide urgent medical care in emergencies
- Supervise and train staff nurses and CNAs
- Foster a compassionate environment for residents
- Pursue ongoing education through workshops and conferences
