Qualifications

• Must possess valid nursing license in the state of Maryland.
• RN, BSN Preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills and ability to interact with employees, colleagues, clients and vendors at all levels.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret general health regulations and present information clearly.

Responsibilities

• Manages day-to-day operations of the unit under supervision of the ADON/DON.
• Assists charge nurses with admissions and re-admissions to the unit on day shift and coordinates with other shifts.
• Monitors nursing services, treatment and documentation for safety and quality.
• Provides orientation to the unit and its policies for new nurses.
• Recommends policies and procedures to enhance nursing care.
• Prepares reports to DON/ADON regarding unit operations and staffing.
• Assists leadership in implementing new nursing policies.
