Job summary

Avalon Care Center Bellingham is seeking an experienced Admissions Nurse / Unit Manager (RN) to lead nursing staff and coordinate resident admissions at our Washington facility. This role combines clinical leadership with admissions coordination in a resident-focused, quality-driven environment.

The position offers a weekend-only schedule, competitive hourly pay, and part-time benefits; current WA RN license or NLC-eligibility is required, with long-term care experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Current Washington RN license (or NLC-eligible).
• Experience in long-term care or skilled nursing.
• Experience with admissions, resident intake, or care transitions preferred.
• Leadership experience or strong leadership potential.
• Knowledge of nursing practices and long-term care regulations.
• Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the admission process and help ensure smooth resident transitions into the facility.
• Complete admission assessments and required documentation.
• Educate residents and families on admission procedures, care plans, and facility services.
• Lead and support the nursing team.
• Help ensure residents receive high-quality care and positive clinical outcomes.
• Coordinate care with nurses, providers, and interdisciplinary team members.
