We are seeking a qualified RN Unit Manager to lead our facility.

Unit Managers oversee daily patient care, supervise and develop nursing staff, and report to the Director of Nursing to ensure quality care within a long-term care center, skilled nursing facility, or assisted living community. They act as dependable, personable liaisons between residents and families, ensuring compliance with federal and state standards, and adherence to company policies.

  1. Maintain resident care standards by supervising activities related to quality assurance, infection control, and utilization review.
  2. Transmit physicians' instructions regarding resident care and ensure proper communication across units.
  3. Delegate nursing and therapeutic procedures to appropriate professionals and paraprofessionals.
  4. Conduct regular rounds to assess residents' physical conditions and behaviors, evaluate care quality, and document observations accurately.

Qualifications:

  • Current RN license by the state; experience in long-term care or geriatrics preferred.
  • Minimum of two years nursing experience and one year supervisory experience.
  • Clerical skills for report reading and data utilization.
  • Ability to organize, plan, and manage personnel and programs.
  • Ability to coordinate with other departments effectively.
