Job summary

Spring Grove Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in New Providence, NJ is seeking an experienced RN Unit Manager to lead a nursing unit with a focus on safe, patient-centered care. This full-time role combines clinical leadership with operational oversight to support residents and staff.

The ideal candidate will hold an active NJ RN license, have strong clinical leadership skills, and at least five years of nursing experience including supervisory roles in long-term care or hospital settings.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active RN license in NJ (unencumbered).
• BLS Certification (CPR) required.
• Nursing degree from an accredited institution preferred.
• Minimum five years of nursing experience.
• Minimum two years supervisory experience in a nursing care center, hospital, or health care setting.

Responsibilities

• Assume full responsibility and accountability for resident care on the assigned nursing unit.
• Oversee and coordinate resident care to promote the highest possible level of physical, mental, and psychosocial functioning.
• Ensure timely and accurate incident reporting, with follow-up and communication to the Administrator and the Director of Nursing.
• Participate in facility committees and programs as directed by the Director of Nursing.
• Assist in the development, implementation, and evaluation of policies and procedures based on identified clinical and operational needs.
• Provide clinical leadership, guidance, and support to nursing staff on the unit.
• Monitor compliance with care plans, regulations, and quality standards to ensure optimal resident outcomes.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support resident-centered care and continuous improvement.

• Minimum of five (5) years of nursing experience required.

• Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience in a nursing care center, hospital, or other healthcare setting required.
