Job summary

Alpine Valley Post Acute & Healthcare Center in Pennsylvania is seeking a Unit Manager to lead nursing operations on an assigned unit, ensuring resident care is safe, comprehensive, and person-centered.

The role requires an active LPN or RN license in PA, a current BLS CPR, at least five years of nursing experience and two years in supervision; the facility emphasizes collaboration, policy development, and continuous improvement, with daily pay and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current, unencumbered active license to practice as an LPN or RN in the state of PA.
• Valid BLS Certification (CPR) required.
• A nursing degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.
• Minimum of five (5) years of nursing experience required.
• Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience in a nursing care center, hospital, or other healthcare setting required.

Responsibilities

• Assume full responsibility and accountability for resident care on the assigned nursing unit.
• Oversee and coordinate resident care to promote the highest possible level of physical, mental, and psychosocial functioning.
• Ensure timely and accurate incident reporting, with appropriate follow-up and communication to the Administrator and the Director of Nursing.
• Participate in facility committees and programs as directed by the Director of Nursing.
• Assist in the development, implementation, and evaluation of policies and procedures based on identified clinical and operational needs.
• Provide clinical leadership, guidance, and support to nursing staff on the unit.
• Monitor compliance with care plans, regulations, and quality standards to ensure optimal resident outcomes.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support resident-centered care and continuous improvement.
