Job summary

Morgan Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Johnston, RI, seeks an RN Unit Manager to lead nursing operations on an assigned unit, ensuring safest, most person-centered resident care. The role requires strong clinical leadership and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.

You will oversee resident care, ensure compliance with care plans and regulations, provide mentoring to nursing staff, and contribute to policy development.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current, unencumbered active RI RN license.
• Valid BLS Certification (CPR) required.
• Minimum of five (5) years of nursing experience.
• Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience in a nursing care center, hospital, or other healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Assume full responsibility and accountability for resident care on the assigned nursing unit.
• Oversee and coordinate resident care to promote the highest possible level of physical, mental, and psychosocial functioning.
• Ensure timely and accurate incident reporting, with appropriate follow-up and communication to the Administrator and the Director of Nursing.
• Participate in facility committees and programs as directed by the Director of Nursing.
• Assist in the development, implementation, and evaluation of policies and procedures based on identified clinical and operational needs.
• Provide clinical leadership, guidance, and support to nursing staff on the unit.
• Monitor compliance with care plans, regulations, and quality standards to ensure optimal resident outcomes.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support resident-centered care and continuous improvement.
