Job summary

Intersect Healthcare in Michigan is seeking a nursing supervisor to plan, coordinate, and manage clinical services for a specified unit. The role supports the DON and interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality resident care.

The position includes a $5,000 sign-on bonus and requires an RN license with 1–3 years of supervisory experience. Overtime and on-call availability are required, with potential emergency reporting as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing preferred.
• Valid RN state license.
• One to three years of supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate systems that facilitate quality resident care.
• Facilitate resolution of issues related to resident/patient care including family concerns.
• Implement and evaluate nursing procedures and unit programming.
• Make nursing diagnoses that guide care delivery.
• Perform nursing assessments of residents.
• Develop and implement plans of care.
• Provide health education to patients and families.
• Participate in quality assurance activities.
• Adhere to scope of practice limitations by qualifications.
• Complete forms and documents per policy and regulations.
• May perform general nursing duties during emergencies or staffing shortages.

Position Summary

In conjunction with the DON, plans, coordinates, and manages the clinical services for specified nursing unit. Responsible for the coordinator and of nursing care and services provided to Residents in the various units and is responsible for facilitating the interdisciplinary team.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Assesses and evaluates the systems which facilitate the delivery of quality resident care.
• Facilitates the resolution of issues and concerns associated with resident/patient care including family issues.
• Implements and evaluates all nursing procedures and systems relative to unit programming.
• Makes nursing diagnoses that serve as the basis for the delivery of care.
• Performs nursing assessments regarding the health status of the resident/patient.
• Develops a plan of care and implements nursing care based on assessment.
• Provides health education to patients and their families.
• Participates in quality assurance activities.
• Adheres to scope of practice limitations based on qualifications.
• Completes required forms and documents in accordance with company policy and state and/or federal regulations.
• Will perform general nursing duties in cases of emergency or staffing shortages.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Required/Desired Qualifications

Specific skills, knowledge, and abilities

Other Special Requirements

• Must be able to work overtime. Must be available on an “on-call” basis. May be summoned to the facility in an emergency and is expected to report to the facility in an emergency.
• Tolerate frequent exposure to blood, body tissues, and fluids with occasional exposure to hazardous materials and infectious diseases. As well as, frequent exposure to chemicals and latex, and plastic materials used for personal protective equipment.
• Manual dexterity required to operate modern office equipment.
• Ability to travel as needed or assigned.
