Job summary

Azure Shores Rehabilitation in Miami, Florida is seeking an RN Unit Manager to oversee the nursing department during day shifts. You will support the DON and ADON, supervise staff, ensure policy compliance, and monitor resident care.

Requirements include an active Florida RN license, a minimum of two years in a related setting, and experience with PCC. Prior unit management is preferred. A collaborative, patient‑centered approach and strong leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Active Florida RN license required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a nursing home, rehab center, or hospital.
• Unit Manager or supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Computer literacy including Microsoft programs.

Position: RN Unit Manager
Location: Miami, FL
Shift: Day Shift
Salary: $77,500 – $87,500 per year

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Nursing (DON) and Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) with the daily operations of the Nursing Department


• Supervise nursing staff and ensure adherence to policies, procedures, and professional nursing standards


• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations


• Conduct daily rounds to monitor resident care and staff performance


• Participate in facility surveys and inspections conducted by regulatory agencies


• Address staff concerns and grievances, escalating issues to the Director of Nursing as appropriate


• Promote a collaborative, team-focused work environment

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Florida


• Minimum 2 years of experience in a nursing home, rehabilitation center, or hospital setting


• Prior Unit Manager or supervisory experience preferred


• Strong leadership, decision-making, and organizational skills


• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment


• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills


• Compassion, patience, and understanding of resident needs


• Computer literacy required, including Microsoft programs


• Experience with PointClickCare (PCC) preferred
