Job summary

Berlin Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is seeking a RN Unit Manager for the Subacute Unit. This full-time role includes 8am-4:30pm shifts and a salary range of 79k to 100k per year, with same-day pay options.

We value strong clinical leadership to ensure safe, high-quality resident care. The Unit Manager oversees nursing operations, supports staff, and collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to uphold our standards of excellence.

Qualifications

• Must hold NJ nursing license (unencumbered).
• BLS Certification (CPR) required.
• Nursing degree from an accredited school preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of nursing experience.
• Minimum 2 years supervisory experience in nursing care settings.

Responsibilities

• Assume full responsibility and accountability for resident care on the assigned unit.
• Oversee and coordinate resident care to promote the highest possible physical, mental, and psychosocial functioning.
• Ensure timely incident reporting with follow-up to the Administrator and DON.
• Participate in facility committees and programs as directed by the DON.
• Assist in development, implementation, and evaluation of policies and procedures.
• Provide clinical leadership and support to nursing staff on the unit.
• Monitor compliance with care plans, regulations, and quality standards.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for resident-centered care and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities for Unit Manager:

• Assume full responsibility and accountability for resident care on the assigned nursing unit.
• Oversee and coordinate resident care to promote the highest possible level of physical, mental, and psychosocial functioning.
• Ensure timely and accurate incident reporting, with appropriate follow-up and communication to the Administrator and the Director of Nursing.
• Participate in facility committees and programs as directed by the Director of Nursing.
• Assist in the development, implementation, and evaluation of policies and procedures based on identified clinical and operational needs.
• Provide clinical leadership, guidance, and support to nursing staff on the unit.
• Monitor compliance with care plans, regulations, and quality standards to ensure optimal resident outcomes.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support resident-centered care and continuous improvement.

Qualifications for Unit Manager:

• Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as an RN in New Jersey.
• Valid BLS Certification (CPR) required.
• A nursing degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.
• Minimum of five (5) years of nursing experience required.
• Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience in a nursing care center, hospital, or other healthcare setting required.
