Job summary

Berlin Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center is seeking an RN Unit Manager for our 128-bed Sub-Acute and Long-Term Care unit in New Jersey. This full-time role from 8am to 4:30pm focuses on directing nursing care and ensuring high-quality, resident-centered services with strong clinical leadership.

You will oversee staffing, care plans, and clinical compliance while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to improve outcomes and maintain regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current, unencumbered NJ RN license.
• Valid BLS CPR certification required.
• Nursing degree from an accredited program preferred.
• Minimum five years of nursing experience.
• Minimum two years of supervisory experience in a nursing setting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee nursing operations on the unit and ensure resident-centered care.
• Coordinate resident care to promote optimal physical, mental, and psychosocial functioning.
• Ensure timely incident reporting with follow-up to leadership.
• Participate in facility committees and implement policies.
• Provide clinical leadership and guidance to nursing staff.
• Monitor adherence to care plans, regulations, and quality standards.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support continuous improvement.

Salary Range: 79k/yr-$100k/yr.

Responsibilities for Unit Manager:

• Assume full responsibility and accountability for resident care on the assigned nursing unit.
• Oversee and coordinate resident care to promote the highest possible level of physical, mental, and psychosocial functioning.
• Ensure timely and accurate incident reporting, with appropriate follow-up and communication to the Administrator and the Director of Nursing.
• Participate in facility committees and programs as directed by the Director of Nursing.
• Assist in the development, implementation, and evaluation of policies and procedures based on identified clinical and operational needs.
• Provide clinical leadership, guidance, and support to nursing staff on the unit.
• Monitor compliance with care plans, regulations, and quality standards to ensure optimal resident outcomes.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support resident-centered care and continuous improvement.

Qualifications for Unit Manager:

• Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as an RN in New Jersey.
• Valid BLS Certification (CPR) required.
• A nursing degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.
• Minimum of five (5) years of nursing experience required.
• Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience in a nursing care center, hospital, or other healthcare setting required.
