Job summary

The role partners with unit leadership to promote evidence-based practice, manage staffing and supplies, and support quality and safety initiatives. BSN required; RN license in Louisiana; 1 year RN or 2 years LPN in acute care preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing is preferred; BSN is required for Magnet facilities.
• 1 year of RN experience or 2 years of LPN experience in acute care.
• Current RN license in state of practice; BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Treats critical injuries, allergic reactions, and trauma.
• Organizes, plans, supervises, and provides coordinated patient care within the unit.
• Supervises, develops, and evaluates assigned staff nurses and technicians.
• Promotes evidence-based nursing protocols and clinical practice guidelines.
• Manages staffing, scheduling, and unit supplies to ensure quality care.
