Qualifications

• RN license and nursing degree required by state.
• Experience in leadership roles in nursing preferred.
• ADN required; BSN/MSN preferred.
• CPR/AED/BLS certification as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide charge nurse responsibilities including assignments and staffing.
• Manage a patient care assignment based on patient care needs.
• Assist with hiring, education and performance evaluations of staff.
• Coordinate with Nurse Manager and HR on staff performance and discipline.
• Instruct staff and ensure compliance with standards through monitoring and feedback.
• Mentor staff to uphold clinical excellence and patient satisfaction.
• Ensure productivity targets and budget compliance.
• Participate in unit performance improvement activities.
