Job summary

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Critical Care Stepdown Unit - PVSU (Progressive Ventilator Stepdown Unit). The unit has a 3:1 nurse/patient ratio and focuses on rehabilitation, physical therapy, respiratory care, and mental stimulation for ventilated patients.

BSN (required) or MSN (preferred) with RN license and BLS within 90 days of hire are required, plus 18 months of RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates proficiency in nursing practice for assigned specialty area and provides clinical leadership for nursing care in the department.

• Supports a high standard of patient care with a nurse/patient ratio of 3:1 on the PVSU unit.
