Job summary

Ivy Tech Community College in Kokomo, Indiana seeks an RN Tutor to support PN and ASN students and graduates preparing for NCLEX testing. The role involves tutoring in person or virtually, creating a respectful, inclusive learning environment, and guiding students with course content and study strategies.

The tutor will report weekly on services and collaborate with the Nursing Dean to monitor student progress. Part-time hours (4–12 per week) align with campus hours, Mon–Fri 9AM–6PM.

Qualifications

• RN licensed or eligible to practice in Indiana (preferred RN Licensure)
• Minimum GPA 3.0+
• Prior tutoring or teaching experience preferred
• Must be able to work 4–12 hours per week during campus hours (Mon–Fri 9AM–6PM)
• On-campus tutoring with potential virtual sessions

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group tutoring for PN and ASN students and graduates awaiting NCLEX testing.

Job description

RN tutors will work with students in both the ASN and PN programs. The intent is to assist students with both nursing course work and improve NCLEX-RN and NCLEX-PN pass rate outcomes. This is an on-campus tutoring position.Major Responsibilities:Provide individual and group tutoring for PN and ASN students and graduates awaiting NCLEX testing by walk-in or scheduled appointments.
