Job summary

Sanford Health is seeking an RN for an in-person role at our South University hospital in Fargo, ND. The position supports Orthopedic & Eye Surgical Services, with 8-hour day shifts and a 24-hour weekly schedule.

Responsibilities include triage, scheduling, and documenting patient information; licensure requirements apply, including state-specific practice rules. Start times are flexible between 07:00–09:00, with weekdays shifts and varying days off.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program; RN license in state or multi-state where applicable.
• Bachelor’s Degree in nursing preferred.
• One year of healthcare experience preferred.
• Unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice is occurring; multistate licensure if required.
• Nurses practicing over the telephone require licensure in the patients' states.

Responsibilities

• Answer patient inquiries over the telephone and assess severity of symptoms per triage protocols.
• Guide patients to appropriate level of care and schedule appointments with providers.
• Document information from triage in health record systems; record patient health conditions for follow‑up care.
• Maintain and update triage protocols and ensure patient information is current.
• Respond to inquiries through various technologies and educate patients based on calls.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in nursing

Graduate from an accredited nursing program

Unencumbered RN license

Multistate licensure (NLC) where applicable

Licensure in states where patients reside
