Job Summary

Answers patient inquiries over the telephone, assessing the severity of symptoms and medical needs according to triage algorithms. Guides patients to appropriate care levels, schedules appointments with healthcare providers, documents information in health record systems, and maintains/upgrades triage protocols. Educates patients based on calls received.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program preferred (AACN, ACEN, NLN CNEA)
• Bachelor’s Degree in nursing preferred
• One year of healthcare experience preferred
• Unencumbered RN license in the state of practice or multistate licensure if in an NLC state
• Within first 30 days of employment, complete licensing requirements for the role
• Maintain required competencies and certifications
