Endeavor Health in Elmhurst, IL is seeking a Registered Nurse Triage (RN) – Gastro to support patient care through telephone triage and education. This part-time role (20 hours/week) involves two 10-hour shifts across Monday–Friday, with flexibility for travel and varying hours to meet operational needs.

• Duties include: phone triage, patient education and glucose monitor placement, testing, insurance pre-authorization and referrals, exam-room upkeep.

Hourly Pay Range

$33.96 - $52.64 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Endeavor Health is currently conducting a comprehensive review of our compensation structure. The new minimum for this role will be adjusted to $35.15 base pay hourly rate beginning with the second paycheck in October.

Position Highlights

Position: Registered Nurse Triage (RN) - Gastro

Location: Elmhurst, IL

Part Time: 20 hours / week. (Two, 10-Hour shifts)

Office Hours: Monday - Friday 7:00 AM -5:00 PM. You will be working two, 10-Hour shifts

Travel Required: This role includes some travel to other locations and requires flexible hours to meet operational needs

What you will do

• Under the direction of the Supervisor, the Triage Nurse is a Registered Nurse (RN) responsible for patient care needs through the use of inbound and outbound telephone practice.
• The Triage Nurse continuously demonstrates positive customer relationship skills by assessing caller needs through active listening, clinical assessment, education and advanced problem-solving abilities.
• The Triage Nurse will actively manage patient's immediate and ongoing needs with attention to acute and preventative intervention.
• Duties include: phone triage, patient education and continuous Glucose Monitor placement, testing, insurance pre-authorization and referrals, clean and stock exam rooms.

What you will need

• Current Illinois RN licensure
• Current CPR Certification issued by American Heart Association (AHA)
• Office RN and BSN preferred
• Self-starter, able to handle periods of high stress
• Prolonged periods of standing/walking/sitting/bending/reaching/climbing and repetitive use of hands
• Able to lift up to 40 lbs. and carry/push up to 20 lbs.
• Able to effectively communicate in English, both written & verbal
