Job summary

Gentiva is seeking an RN Executive Director Specialist – Hospice to lead and administer operations across North Carolina and South Carolina. The role oversees staffing, patient services, compliance, and performance improvement to ensure high-quality care in multiple sites.

The ideal candidate has an RN license, 3–5 years of hospice leadership, and experience with Medicaid/Medicare regulations. Frequent regional travel is required to provide onsite leadership and maintain Gentiva standards.

We are seeking a RN Executive Director Specialist – Hospice to join our leadership team. This role acts as the administrator on call and is responsible for the overall operation of assigned markets in North Carolina and South Carolina, including the employment of qualified hospice staff and the delivery of high-quality services across multiple sites. The Executive Director Specialist RN will provide leadership and stability by filling in across markets in North Carolina and South Carolina, ensuring consistent compliance, quality, and patient care standards.

What You’ll Do As Executive Director Specialist – RN

About You

Qualifications – What You’ll Bring:

• Registered Nurse (RN) with current license in the state of residence
• 3–5 years of leadership or sales/management experience in hospice
• Experience with Medicaid/Medicare regulations and reimbursement
• Strong understanding of hospice operations and regulatory compliance
• Able to work independently and travel frequently, up to 100% throughout the region to provide onsite leadership
• Effective communicator with strong decision-making and time management skills
• Highly proficient with technology and digital platforms
• Demonstrates professionalism, integrity, and commitment to quality care

Preferred Experience (Not Required)

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing or related field preferred; equivalent experience accepted
